A New Year Begins!

Happy New Year to Rotary!  Our new fiscal year begins today, July 1, 2017.  The new Rotary International President, Ian H.S. Riseley chose the theme:  Rotary: Making A Difference.

Right here at home, Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest has many goals for the new year and certainly plans to continue to make a difference in our community and beyond.  Last month the club presented Community Grants to 25 local organizations – all are serving the community with a focus on children, education or health.  The funds for grants are raised through the primary fundraiser Assault on the Carolinas.  The annual bike ride will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, leaving from downtown Brevard.

On Tuesday evening Club President Jim Cruickshank and his wife Rose hosted a celebratory event at Key Falls Inn in Pisgah Forest.  Club members, past presidents and guests welcomed the new year with Installation of officers and board members AND celebrated the 20 year anniversary of Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest.  Congratulations!  Charter date June 2, 1997!
