The March meeting schedule:

March 1 – Club Assembly – Discuss 2017 Assault on the Carolinas bike event (John Buford)

March 8 – Candice Walsh, Executive Director of the Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County.   She will report on the state of the club, current projects and plans, and opportunities for individuals and businesses to support the club in its services to local children.  For more information, see http://www.bgctransylvania.org

March 15 – Roger Herbert, Director of The Outdoor Academy, an accredited residential semester school for high achieving sophomores and select freshman and juniors.  Located in Transylvania County, the Academy delivers rigorous high school academics infused with experiential education.  For more information, see http://www.enf.org/outdoor-academy/

March 22 – Deric Milligan, Co-Founder and CEO of Inheritance of Hope, a national nonprofit that provides structured retreats and ongoing spiritual, emotional, and financial support to young families facing the loss of a parent.  These services provide direct benefits for the children and a proactive, therapeutic focus for the parent.  For more information, see http://inheritanceofhope.org

 March 29  – Fred Reidinger, a member of the Rotary Club of Brevard, will present information about the Rotary Youth Exchange program and opportunities for local families to host a high school student from another country.  Anyone wishing information about RYE can contact him at 828-884-5525.  Pisgah Forest Rotary is now looking for three local families to each host a student for three months during the next school year.  For more information on our youth exchange programs.

The public is always welcome to attend our breakfast meetings, listen to our guest speakers, and share a friendly, enjoyable, and delicious buffet breakfast at the Pisgah Fish Camp every Wednesday morning at 8:00 am.

On March 1 club members will review plans for this year’s bike event.
